Is it safe to replace shutdown.exe?

i just got iShut, ChoasShut, and some apps that use ActiveX to shutdown and stuff

and i was wondering how to replace shutdown.exe with maybe iShut.....

any suggestions?

NO I dont think so.... iShut is meant to be an additional program that works with the systen files not to replace them.

@metallicamaster3: If you are thinking that Shutdown.exe is what you see when you hit Turn Off on start menu then you are wrong. shutdown.exe doesn't have any UI of itself. The standby / turnoff / restart box is located in different DLL.

Anyway, the point is... DO NOT replace shutdown.exe with iShut.

Use Resource Hacker to change UI graphics... it is located in msgina.dll.
