If you paid for RC2 I highly suggest you get your money back immediatly.
You BOUGHT Vista RC2???? it's a beta, it shouldn't cost money
You got ripped off in so many ways.
First, you paid for a release candidate, when said release candidate should be free.
Second, you bought a release candidate instead of the final RTM version.
Three, the final RTM version isn't available until the 30th, meaning you intended to pirate Vista.
Sorry, buddy. You're screwed.
Actually you can buy it at places like Newegg. It is the OEM version however.
According to my reasarch...you were completley ripped off with a non-Genuine Windows Vista. Especially because you BOUGHT it.
well i bought it at best buy........but.......it was supposed to be free?!
thats not right....
they gave me my money back =]
Yeah RC2=Release Candidate 2, when it came out a few months back Microsoft allowed people to sign up and download it for free, complete with a unique CD key to activate it (this key would activate up to 10 PCs).
Vista goes retail in about 2 days, I would order it online, if you live in the US you can order an OEM right now off http://www.newegg.com
cool, i just downloaded it from MS website, and its much better. i guess i did get ripped off
edit1: omg vista is so much cooler than XP =D
just installed it on my Mac Pro in boot camp too
oh wow i love it. looooooooove it
its so sexy
its so fast
its so.........not from Microsoft
finally something good rolls out of MS

You got a MacPro, So Vista does work on Mac Pro WOW, I did not know that I thought it was just XP, I was planning to buy the Ultimate version on Tuesday but did not know if will work using bootcamp or parallel's, to bad that Apple does not make drivers for the Mac Pro to support the Geforce 8800 if thay did it will be great. Which MacPro did you get 2.0, 2.66, 3.0?
apple might not make the drivers but someone else might give it a go....
yeah, got the 3.0
its got 32GB of RAM for my company (the default only has 16GB, but i got frontside bus upgrades and 8GB of the RAM is external). Its got 4x 500GB hard drives, and an additional 15TB of space thanks to my Xserver network =D. processors are 4x Quad Core Xeon Processors with VIIV technology =D, which run at a maximum of 5.87 GHz. i have 2 screens, both are 30" widescreen Apple Cinema Displays (2006 version).
if as that werent enough, totally i have a lot of OS on the network.
i have:
Mac OS X 10.0 Cheetah
Mac OS X 10.1 Puma
Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar
Mac OS X 10.3 Panther
Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger
(soon to come is Leopard =])
Windows Vista RC2
Windows XP Professional x64 Bit
Windows Server Edition 2003
Windows 2000
Windows Me
Windows 98SE
Windows 95
Windows 3.1
Unix (dont know the version, never use it :silly:)
Linux (same as above =])
also got MS-DOS.....and i never use that either.

yeah i installed vista on my MBP... bootcamp can even do some versions of Linux to my knowledge... but at present you can have a max of two operating systems, so if you were hoping to install vista, Mac OSX, Xp and Linux then you're out of luck using bootcamp.
HOWEVER, i believe thier are alternatives (such as 'ReFit'? or called something like that) that allow you to do so... but none do it as flashy or as simply as bootcamp.

^I hate you.... *runs to ur office and steals everything, picks up windows 3.1, makes a face reminiscent of having just sucked a lemon or drank sour milk, almost throws up and then throws the floppy disk out the window and washes hands thoroughly*
well yeah with boot camp,,,, who said you have to use that!
use parellels like i do to get all of these OSes listed above like me
