I enabled the taskbar feature in ObjectDock The only problem is that I have programs like trillian showing up and I wish I could rename them to say iChat AV or something. Is this possible? I know I have submitted a lot of new threads lately but I am just trying to get my pc to look best as possible. thanks ![]()
ObjectDock renaming programs
You're probaly using the trial version of objectdock. just use RKLauncher, you might miss out on a handful or so of features, but RKLauncher is way better.
ObjectDock is freeware, there is no trial version, and it is the best out there. I do not know of a way to change the names of running programs in the in dock.
...Objectdock is not Freeware. Ever heard of Objectdock Plus?

We have two products. ObjectDock which is freeware, and ObjectDock Plus which is available for purchase which gives added features such as tabbed docks, and multiple docks.
You can download ObjectDock from here, and it does not expire.

yeah i agree. OD is much better than RK, mostly cuz it uses way less CPU. also OD is more user friendly.
I also have another problem with my objectdock... it is aligned poorly... When I have my taskbar in OB it adds another icon to the end (When I open another window) and the other icons are aligned incorrectly.
holy christ how many icons do you have in that dock?! holy crap!
I can open up two windows and then close one and it will be fine.

Have you sent this issue to support@stardock.com?
I just sent an email to Stardock Support. However, I have another question... would this happen if I used RK Launcher? And RK Launcher when you minimize the window then it shows up in the taskbar. I seem to like that idea better. Maybe I'll try that.
I didn't like RK Launcher. It was too different for me... ObjectDock is more my style... even if I have that problem. Well.... I e-mailed stardock support... they e-mailed me back and I followed the instructions... and it worked... you had to delete a certain folder but the problem is once i delete it and open up a new window the folder comes back... and the same problem occurs.... ahhh
