squares in id3tags

can somebody tell my why i have a square after some names in my itunes library?

Probably because they're an unidentifiable character, because you (just guessing here) downloaded the songs from Limewire or similar. Limewire users fail at properly formatting songs.

I have that too, but I checked out the name, there's no weird characters. Also, they weren't downloaded from limewire, but from .. a trustier source

sometimes this happens to me as well, it's usually that the font doesn't support the character that is boxed

But see, the thing is, when I right-click and then go to "Get Info", there are no unusual characters, just the song's normal name.

Make sure that they don't have 2 sets of ID tags. (Delete the unwanted one if applicable).

Two sets of id3 tags or the songs have proper id3v2.4 tags, and its itune's fault.

it happens to me sometimes.

i rightclick, press get info, and click next. As the song is passed the square disappears, this happens when i edit the tags in fb2k/winamp.

also try deleting the last character from the field with the square, and then pressing ok. Then add the character again. The square disappears.
