embedding fonts

does anyone know how to embed fonts into a website?

It can't be done, for obvious security reasons.

Alternatives:

Use an image with the text typed out in the font (i.e. use Photoshop and save it as an image, and then embed that).

Use Flash...same idea, but instead of an image, it's a .swf file. There's a classic technique called Sifr; a cursory Google search will produce results.

actually it can be done.... but......

1) It's not a very simple process.

2) It has lot of limitations.

3) I still have to see it producing universal results across all the browsers and platforms.
