Aqua-Soft ForumsI downloaded an .avi file and tried to play it on Quicktime. At first, the app showed a message saying I need to download some plugins. The only plugin I remembered using when I was on my PC was the Divx plugin. So I downloaded it then relaunch the app, still no sound coming out. I tried logging off the system but I don't hear any sounds, still.

I'm no fan of Quicktime for the Mac--to me, it seems overrated.
Anyway, I recommend downloading the following:
http://perian.org/ (this may solve your problem)
http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv_download.htm
& VLC, just in case you have any other problems.

The DMG says that? You mean you get the standard Apple error? Hmm--have you tried finding another download source, or downloading it in a different browser?
