Xp Menu's

That XP keeps on bugging me >.< Burn in hell Bill Gates!

I'll try to explain my problem as simple as possible, because I have XP in dutch.

I open This Computer, where I have 2 disks, C:\ and D:\. When I try to open one of these disks by double-clicking them, XP opens automatically a search page, you know, the search function in XP. Now he seems to have changed the menu when I right-click on one of the stations, in stead of Open - Explore - Search, Search stands first in bold. If you still follow me. Search now has the priority, in stead of Open.

Does anybody know where I can change this annoying problem?

Heh you tried to change the icons for the drives in flder properties didn't you? *grin* I know because this happened to me too... You need to add open again and make it the default in folder options on the drives

how you do this is....

start > control panel > folder options > File Types Tab > Select (NONE) Drive

Click on advanced and then press "New"

In the Action dialogue box you type Open

Application used to perform action enter the location of Explorer which should be C:\windows\explorer.exe

then ok it and then elect it in the Actions box and spress the set default button this will always open up a new drive window from the my computer window it's not the "best" solution there is but it's the best workaround I've found.

Of course you DON'T do this if the wndow already HAS an open then in that case highlight it and just hit the set default button.

I hope that's helped.

If only more people were as quick and knowledgable as you in your reply, we might not have so many useless posts.

Keep it up and thanks!
