Is it possible to use the USB port on an AirPort Express to connect an external HDD?

If you bothered to read you would see the answer was affirmative.

That apple site tells you all about their products..... amazing hehehe

Then how do configure AirPort Express for it.

What do you mean?

What piece of Airport equipment do you have?

What do you want to specifically do?

He has an Airport Express judging from the title and the post above Celticsun's.

As such, he won't be able to use a hard drive on it as the Airport Express's USB port only supports printers. See http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/specs.html

On the other hand, if he brought the new Airport Extreme, then of course he can do the disk sharing linked to above.

Well this is what I was trying to establish, I made the mistake of presuming the original question was relating to the new Airport Extreme.

However, there is no clear indication that he is using the later model like your pointing to either.

Hence the reason I gave up and asked him what exactly he had and what did he really want to do/achieve.

Okay so it won't work.

Thanks for the help.
