does anyone know how to get rid of the sidebar that is present on the left when you have a folder open?
I've attached a screen shot of what I mean.

There are two ways that i know of.
One is to find a shellstyle that is 'invisible'. I believe there is one packeged with Milqu by Kavin.
The other is to go to folder options>general>tasks and choose 'use windows classic folder' However, that makes a border around the window that can look ugly depending on your visual style.
You can also install FindeXer if you wish to make it more like Finder.
Well....you can make it a tree instead. Click the Folder Icon in the toolbar (to the right of search). That'd be your options in windows.
Thanks! I'll look around for a shellstyle
Edit: Should have read the comments more clearly. Nrossow already said how... ![]()
I know, but I think that an "invisible" shell style would look more sleek than doing that other thing.. wouldn't it? Cause it would customize the look of the folder aswell..
I included a link to a Visual Style that comes with an invisible shellstyle.
Try this:
Control Panel --> System --> Advanced Tab --> Performance Settings --> Use Common Tasks in Folders (uncheck it)
You can find the System Window by clicking Properties on My Computer
Hope this is what you want!
Thanks! Yeah, I've sorted it out now.
There's a invisible sheel style in the super popular area o4 too.
