Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows of some way to create a playlist (most likely a form of smart playlist) that watches a specified folder? Basically, I want to be able to drop new songs into a folder and have that song automatically added to a playlist in iTunes. Thanks for any help! (Y)

not too entirely sure about the workings on iTunes, but i believe to have a song in a playlist, it must be imported into iTunes, and it will put it in it's own directory structure (unless you have changed it)
what are the criteria you want for your smart playlist?
Baically, I want it to "watch' a specific folder for any new songs I may have added, and automatically add those songs the the playlist. I think Acquisition (a p2p app) does this with downloaded songs.

Panther will have this ability.
It will be using the updated FreeBSD port to allow instant file updating. Like your search will change instantly based on file changes. I assume this will work w/ other Apple apps as well.
I guess you have to wait.
Go over to the iPodlounge forums and post on the iTunes forums. There's some very knowledgable people over there, and if anyone is going to know, then they will.
