Hiding Tabs from Appearing In Taskbar

Is there any way to modify a system file to accomplish this? I know I can use programs like ObjectBar and stuff to get a new bar but I don't want to waste additional ram. Is there a system file I can modify to make it so that when I open an application it doesn't show up in the taskbar.

Actually, I might of found something if anyone is interested. I'm going to try it out after I edit this post.

^ Review - 10mbs of ram used, doesn't hide the programs as you open it, you have to hide it manually after you open, no save settings.

--- I guess still not what I'm looking for.

trayer should be able to do what you want. It's pretty good value for $12 although version 2.3 was freeware. I've hosted 2.3 here for you.

Hmnn, I'm not sure exactly what is that you are trying to achieve, however TrayIt comes to mind. This litte free app allows you to show any running applications in the traybar, only. You can set up profiles, so a particular app always opens up in the tray.
