Aqua-Soft ForumsFor the past few days, I have constantly bought and returned numerous TV Tuners. I finally drew the line with the Hauppague WinTV USB2. IT IS A PIECE OF CRAP! I was so mad that it didnt have the features one would expect from a normal TV Tuner (ie. Pause, Rewind, FF, ect.) Then I remembered someone on a website saying that Beyond TV supported Software Encoding TV Tuners. So, I decided to try it out and see if it worked. It did that and beyond! It allowed me to do everything I wanted to do, AND IT WORKED WITH THE REMOTE!! I was so happy! So, I went to the Online store to buy it, and saw the price . . . $79.99 . . . Now, me, being a Starving Student, I couldn't imagine paying this much for it, even though it really is worth it . . .
So, on to my question, Does anyone know of a FREE PVR program for Windows that supports:
- EPG (Electronic Program Guide)
- The Hauppauge WinTV USB Tuner
- The remote
- And has all the little bells and whistles of a normal DVR
Heck, if it has all that, it doesn't even have to be free, just affordable . . .
