I have an entire library of purchased iTunes music...how can I convert it?
this is a widely known workaround (plus, DRM sucks big fatties!), so i hope the mods don't rank on me for this...
burn a cd of the tunes you want to convert. rip that cd to mp3's (or wma, or whatever). that's it. you're done.

I was going to suggest that, but from the sounds of it, he may have several CD's worth of music ("entire library of purchased music").
That's the most legal way to do it. Unfortunately, very labor intensive. Too bad the RIAA, online music stores and portable music players all like to be proprietary.
It will also degrade the sound since you'll be compressing the compressed files. Thank RIAA for that

I believe there may be a plugin for itunes (probably not for itunes 7, but 6) that allows you to sync to the Creative Zen Nano your entire library as if it were an iPod, I think in theory this would somehow allow you to play DRM content, but I could be completely wrong...
One must wonder why you didnt just buy a real 2nd gen "Nano" (iPod)... Just Kidding (but it would be my personal preference) ...tho it would have made more sense with reguards to DRM... if u own WMA content then get a zen, got itunes content get an iPod, want troubles with DRM, get a Zune... simple

To make this clearer: there are programs and plugins that will allow you to transfer music using iTunes to a non-iPod product, but using them still doesn't solve any DRM problems.

No, the music that I have on iTunes is not on the mac. Actually my house has three computers two Macs and two Pcs...
I found iTunes2Winamp when I first tried iTunes and didn't like it. Thankfully I never had to use this but give it a try and see if it will work for you. I believe it changes the files to mp3 format.
