I have Hp photosmart 2610. How to scan text so you can select the text on the computer and then format it?

the easiest way is if you have ms office 2002 or 2003 installed. go start|programs|microsoft office tools|microsoft office document imaging. that will scan the text right into ms word.

I have word Perfect. Can you do that there? and is it possible to do it on the photoshop?

probably, but with the printer driver there was probably a lot of bundled software (about 100MB of useless junk with my canon)

check if there is any program that has "ocr" or "document recognition" in the name.

Omni Page pro comes with some Cannon scanner drivers. It does that.
