iTunes crashes when syncing with my 5G ipod

the problem:

iTunes crashes when syncing my empty 5G ipod. It happens after about 400 songs of a total of 1300+. Why I don't know :S

What I'm using:

30GB 5G ipod (first generation)

iTunes 7

Multi-plugin 2.4.2

iTunes skin "Cold"

Windows XP MediaCenter

1300+ songs and 21 videos

Ps: the ipod is empty because I recently made my ipod triple-boot ( apple OS + ipod Linux + Rockbox ). I had to do that for a specific FLAC audio file.

But I don't think that this is the reason for the crash because I had the same problem last time when I installed the multi-plugin and tried to sync it with a empty ipod.

Conclusion:

I think multi-plugin is doing it but I'm to lazy to uninstall it and then reinstall it :P

Some Help please

i have the same problem. i uninstalled mplugin and everything works fine now.

Yeah I know that fixes it but I don't want to do that.

I want to keep the plugin, maybe there's a workaround

BTW stupid question but how do uninstall the plugin?

Never mind I found a way...

You need to stop the sync every view hundred songs with the X mark at the song display

This is a known bug. Which stops many iPod users (like myself) from using Multi-Plugin. :)
