Aqua-Soft Forumscan someone share the desktopgrabber.aveinst file with me? i try to install mine, but it says that i need "PIDL Shortcut", which is strange because when i change the file extension to .zip, i see a file folder named Pidl shorcut, with a desktopgrabbermodule.dll file in it...or something around there. anyways, thx in advance >_

Hmm, perhaps it's more an issue with your version of AveDesk, or your version of PidlShortcut...you ran register.bat when you first installed AveDesk, right?

yea i did. i went to add the module Pidl shortcut (add module>pidlshortcut.dll) and then i got this error message:
The Module "Pidl Shortcut does not provide a configuration setting dialog.
The menu entry is hence for information.

what version of avedesk are you using? try using avedesk 2 - T/F
id rather not use beta. are your icons Pidl? what version do u use?
yeah they were, but i'm on a mac now - i was using 1.2 - T/F
so how did you gets yours to work?
made a PIDL Shortcut on the desktop
copied the file path of the folder i wanted
then change the icon

ok...so basically what your saying is i just take a file and change its extension to .pidl and then enter the file path and change the icon?
no you have to open avedesk right click it in your taskbar
in the control panel pick desklet then PIDL Shortcut - add item
then right click the PIDL Shortcut in the desklet control panel
- properties
under the appaerance tab give it a name
under the icon tab give it an icon
under the shortcut tab find the folder you want it to open

i click it but for some reason my CPU usage goes up to 100% and everything freezes... so i cant seem to get to the control panel...
ok so im using beta avedesk 2 and i still cant get it to work..im beginning to lose hope...
