ObjectBar + ObjectBar Mod help please

I'm COMPLETELY new at windowsXP modding, and I was wondering, if I'm using ObjectBar and ObjectBar Mod, then how can I view my system tray?

We usually discourage posting two threads with the same question, or bumping one thread to ask a question and then creating another thread with the same question.

Welcome to the forums, though ;). If this thread gets more responses, I'll delete your post in the other ObjectBar Mod thread.

P.S: Good job on using the tags and posting in the right forum!

Thanks, and sorry, but I though that because it had been a while since someone had went to that other thread, so I created one ^^;;

And Nice to meet you as well, I guess I'll be seeing you around here a good bit?

i have this problem as well, and its really bothering me. its something to do with a file named "trayserver" i think...

Well, I just made a shortcut to open ob mod and to close it on my dock, a little inconvenience, but it's ok

In your objectbar folder there should be a trayserver.exe, that's what should be running.

then create a new system tray Theme editor > create > new > system tray. I hope this helps.

yes thats the problem. i dont have trayserver.exe. post?

@applethink: Trayserver is located in "Program FilesCommon FilesStardock", but I doubt it will solve ur problem. If no System Tray container is present in the theme editor, then you will have to create it first using the Theme editor like Bob said. And THEN see if trayserver is running after restart. Don't go creating start-up shortcuts for it just yet.

@micam: instead of creating shortcuts for it, you could just let objectbar startup with windows, enable it in the General options.

there is a systray container, but its empty. and i don't have any .exe files in common files except for SDMCP.exe or something like that. i need some1 to share trayserver.exe please :)

I know, but I made shortcuts on my dock to open or close OB whenever I needed to go to system tray, but I'm going to try real quick, and if anything helps, I'm usually using the Updated Tiger theme or one of crni's themes with OB Mod

**Edit: I'm gonna just use finderbar from landvermesser, it may not be exactly like the mac, but it has the system tray
