Problems with Need For Speed on Macbook

Hey,

I just bought a brand spankin new 2 Ghz core 2 duo macbook with a gig of ram

and a dual layer superdrive, so I installed bootcamp and windows XP and tried to

fire up need for speed carbon. The installation went fine, but when I want to start

the game the screen goes black for a split second, then shows the desktop again

and theres a dialog box that says nfsc.exe has had an error. I've tried everything,

and it still doesn't work. I have the latest version of directx, and I have all the

boot camp apple drivers installed. Any suggestions?

I tried the demo on my athlon desktop and got a similar error. Try to run the came in compatibility mode for 2000 or 98.

Works on my iMac. Maybe it's an issue with the graphic card

Well, I've got the latest drivers and directx, and I tried the compatibility mode, I tried reinstalling,

nothing works. I even thought maybe it was an issue with the resolution so I changed it but that

didn't work either. DxDiag.exe also says all my drivers are ok and working. I looked through the

Electronic Arts troubleshooting files but they weren't any help either.
