Cleaning The Remote Control That Comes With Ipod

for those who are wondering what i'm talking about, it's about the wired remote control (the metal piece) that comes with the new ipod's.

well, i've been playing with my new toy for the past couple of days and it seems that my sweaty hands have discolored a part of the steel (i don't know if it's steel) side of the remote control. i think the metal's been oxidized or something.

does anyone know how i can clean it and bring it back to it's original shine!

here's a pic of the remote to clarify things.index_remote042803.jpg

mine's looks dingy compared to the above.

Maybe a polishing compound or a little rust remover. Just don't let it get inside of the casing.

Absolutely, if it is an unprotected/unpainted metal use a polisher (white thick liquid, apply, let dry and rub off) then coat with a protectant. I use this on my titanium blue flame lighters.

i use these like lint free tissue things to clean mine....

theyre usually used to clean glasses but they work great for getting fingerprint/oil off the remote or whatever you have on yours

you sould be able to get them at any drug store

good luck :D
