[help] Cue Files And Mp3

Okay, So I have a big Mp3, say like 100mb. It is a buncha songs that just run on. What is the best way to split them into seperate songs? The CUE file reads like this:

PERFORMER "VA"
TITLE "Techno Top 100 Volume 3"
FILE "101_va_-_techno_top_100_volume_3_cd1-mod.mp3" MP3
 TRACK 01 AUDIO
   TITLE "Always And Forever"
   PERFORMER "Mario Lopez"
   INDEX 01 00:00:00
 TRACK 02 AUDIO
   TITLE "Genie"
   PERFORMER "Airbase"
   INDEX 01 02:07:05
 TRACK 03 AUDIO
   TITLE "The Fall"
   PERFORMER "Flutlicht"
   INDEX 01 04:38:56
 TRACK 04 AUDIO
   TITLE "Dreams In My Fantasy"
   PERFORMER "DJ Session One"
   INDEX 01 06:00:72
 TRACK 05 AUDIO
   TITLE "Velvet Dreams"
   PERFORMER "Condor"
   INDEX 01 06:55:61
 TRACK 06 AUDIO
   TITLE "Make It Loud"
   PERFORMER "Blutonium Boy"
   INDEX 01 07:39:19
 TRACK 07 AUDIO
   TITLE "Plasma Fire"
   PERFORMER "Dr.R.Fishbone"
   INDEX 01 08:57:67

Etc. Etc.

So what now? Can I split it using a program without burning it?

Thanks,

-dav

wait you have 1 big mp3 file and a cue file???

most of the time cue files come with bin files... im not too sure about cue files with mp3s.

but looking at your cue file, i'd say the tracks are already split.

edit:

ok i had no idea what i was saying up there

i did a little search and found this MP3Splitter

it's not free but they have a trial.

Why not burn it with the cue file, but choose the CD Image writer as opposed to your CD burner.

Then rip the tracks from the image file.

you mean mount the image?

you can do that with daemon tools or alcohol120%

Thanks Dino!

@applelover: It always crashed Nero when I tried to load it.

Nero doesn't crash when you load your cue files with it, it just take a very looooooong time to load it. That's all! ;)

I occasionally record internet radio mixes in MP3, so I was wondering how do you go about making a CUE file? A link or an explanation both work... I didn't know if I could take your example and make a CUE file in notepad.

Yeah, the standard operation with cue's and bin's is just to burn them or use MP3 Splitter/ISO buster to get at them on the computer. I prefer SVCD's (playable on TV) to mpeg/avi (on computer) so I usually burn movies.

I usually use Steinberg Wavelab to split mp3 files.
