I use it right now, I love it. Haven't noticed that my computer runs slower, but it is a little slower when I'm turning the computer on or off.

But seriously, no, also using shapeshifter, since the first intel beta, and I also haven't noticed any slowdown
I've noticed a bit of a slow down on the start up, nothing big at all.
Yea I notice the slowdown at startup/shutdown. Problem is once I reset back to regular aqua and uninstall it there is still the slowdown. hmm...
Been waiting so long too. Just to give you guys a heads up, Shapeshifter is being sold as part of a bundle of some pretty nice Mac shareware this week at Macheist: http://macheist.com/
I picked it up myself that way too.
Just tried to switch back to default aqua - yep, skinned osx feels noticebly slower. Tested with several skins - looks like it depends on a guikit. The slowest I got were Alluvium Magnite, Niqu, the fastest was Milk, and Aqua itself at the top.
Guess, I,ll wait to 2.5 or later...
No slowdown prob here...good old bh2!
