Hi, I always got "can not replace protected windows system file", when I install Office 2007. I don't know if that's because flyakite. I am so sure, just want to clarify this issue.....
anyone installed Office 2007?
I don't have flyakite osx on right now; took it off a while ago. But I do have Office 2007 installed and running. I'll try to install flyakite and see what errors, if any, I get and will post back.
i i recall correctly it doesn't have anything to do with flyakite
there is a file in the c;/windows/systems or system32 folder that was marked read-only that the installer needed to access
i cannot remember the exact file but i know when i googled the problem i got quite a few hits [including from ms themselves]
found it rather amusing that they couldn't install their software on their operating system ![]()
Sorry for taking forever to reply; I just installed Flyakite osx 3.5 and everything is fine. Launched the various apps in Office 2007 with no errors at all.
Of course, the order in which I did this may be the cause; Installed Office first in my case.
