Objectbar Annoyances...

Does anyone know why yztoolbar quits when objectbar is started? I am annoyed at this because I cannot have my finder bar with my toolbar. Is there a way to fix this?

And one more thing about objectbar. When you have a window selected the objectbars menus have the first letter underlined under every menu name. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If anyone knows anything about either of these topics, help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and one more thing. How do you get the finder bar to say Finder in bold instead of Desktop? In the real thing it says finder so I was looking to change that. Theres probably some fix in the bar options I just dont know what it is. Thanks.

Well...Y'z Toolbar works just fine for me with ObjectBar...no issues...

As for your second problem, it depends on the theme that you are using and the underlining of the first character is normally used for controlling the menu through keys..I use Iceman's Finder Bar and it has no such problems....

Regarding your third query...renaming the AppMenu to Finder is quite simple.....Just right-click on it and select Properties....A dialog box should come up. Under Display there is a section called Item Text...and the title should be AppMenu..

Next to it is a checkbox called 'Use Active Window's Text'....Uncheck that box and in the title area type Finder....Save and you now have a static word finder on your Bar... :)

Hey siddharth, thanks for the help. You are right ObjectBar works fine with yztoolbar, I just had to restart my computer and they worked fine together. Now about the underlined letters, I am using Iceman's theme. I dont know what the problem is, oh well.

I commented on this in another thread. I have used many themes and all have this problem of the underlines. Its not ObjectBar at fault here I think its Windows and how it draws the menus. If you could turn it off in Windows explorer you would probably see the lines go away in ObjectBar as well. Anyone got an idea how to kill the underlines in the explorer.exe itself.

Interestingly enough, you can kill the underlines in Explorer, but unfortunately it doesn't affect ObjectBar. If you go to Display Properties, then Appearance, then Effects, there is an option that says "Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation until I press the Alt key". Well, even with that option checked the letters appear in ObjectBar. ObjectBar apparently doesn't pay attention to a lot of options configured within Windows itself. The only way I know of that would do it is for the feature to be implemented into a future release of ObjectBar.
