Yes after some time and many people fearing that development on Snarl has stopped that has been changed. Snarl is being released in updates currently and is worth the check out. In case you do not know what Snarl or even Growl is I'll tell you now.
Snarl is a notification system that can be used and applied to nearly every program. This applies to instant messengers, web browsers, media players and really anything that needs to give it's users some form of notification. Currently Snarl can be used out of the box with iTunes, notifying the change of the hour, and displaying all the default windows balloon pop-ups. The last part also applies to any application that uses those balloon pop-ups. Please note that the most recent version of Snarl is still in beta but is very much in development. If you are not much a developer but would like to see Snarl being used with your favorite programs then you can do one thing. Request it to your developers and give them a link to the dev page or make a request on the Snarl forums. The only way Snarl can expand and be truly useful is if it is known. So talk to your favorite developers. Creating a plug-in for Snarl is very simple and with development back on track it will be even easier.
