ObjectBar and FinderBar don't show proper app/window names

Well, recently I've gone back in the world of emulation. I can't wait till I get my new macbook pro, so I decided to re customize some of my old stuff. But there's a problem.

When I use object bar, or finder bar, there seems to be a problem where it won't recognize programs, such as showing firefox instead of finder, or photoshop instead of finder. I downloaded the objectbarmod file but that didn't work either. Any other ideas?

Also, what is the procedure for changing fonts and font sizes on object bar themes? I completely forget

Edit, this is what I have now. I need suggestions on what to do next... and how the heck do i get the spotlight to work without clicking ctrl+space?

I'd like to know the first part myself. It'd be great if I could figure out how to make Objectbar use the app's name, instead of the window name.

To change the font, browse to your theme's folder in the OB directory, then to Skins, and edit the .obskin. The font and size tags are:

Font=

FontHeight=[font size in px]

Then reload the bar.

Oh, I found something called finderbar http://landvermesser.tripod.com/ it works like object dock, knows a few applications, such as firefox, and photoshop cs2. But not many others.

Also, does anyone know now to display trillian or miranda as a active window? So that it will show in object dock

You certainly would edit it in Notepad.

Thanks to your mention, I went looking for OBMod. Got it installed, and it works! Go to the bar settings (right click bar -> properties), to the finder tab, and tick "use the active window's text". OBMod should replace this with the app name.

Not sure about Trill; it shows just fine in RK.

I've checked out rk, but it seems that it isn't possible to show active windows in the dock, without showing all of the open exe files. Or maybe I didn't read right.

Trillian and miranda still won't show in the dock.............
