I clicked on the .aveinst file to transform my icons into desklets, nothing happened. problem?

Uh, I'm fairly sure that's not exactly how you install it. Care to elaborate on what you did?

There's no such thing as AveIcon. There's AveIconifier, which is a standalone program, and AveIconDrop, which will allow one to convert between .PNG and .ICO icons. There are also modules which will display all desktop icons as desklets. What are you referring to?

I'm pretty sure it only transforms new icons added to the desktop. Try cutting and pasting all your desktop icons.
