Cinema display [Pink Hue}

i have a 23" Display use it as extensed for my XP pro, the main one is 20" also Cinema Display and the graphic card is ATI Radeon 1900 XTX, i recently discovered there's a light

pink hue on my 23", it is really annoying me right now.

i really like to know how many of u out there have this kind of problem, and how long does it

take for them to fix it, i probably gonna bring it to a local Apple store near by me

Any kind of comments would be thankful

thanks everyone...:(

When you say a pink hue, where abouts is it on the display?

All over or just in a corner?

Have you knocked or moved the display recently ?

There seems to be a issue with older generation Cinema Displays.

Look here for more info.

it's all over, u know i can't believed that, i had this monitor not even 3 months yet and the

price ain't that cheap either. Thanks for that info Celticsun

first i thought could be magnet 'cause i got a pair of Bose for my iMac right next to it, removed sitll the same, correct me if i'm wrong...magnet does not effect LCD right?

Thats correct LCD monitors are not effected by Magnetic interferance hence the lack of 'degauss' feature.

It sounds like a fault with the monitor itself, I know they are not cheap which is even more reason to take it to your nearest Apple Reseller where you purchased it from as soon as possible.

Reading into the problem more around the Net it appears it is not an uncommon problem as long as you have the reciept of purchase I can see no problems with them either replacing or repairing. Due to the cost and the inconvinience not to mention the short time you have had it I personally would push for a replacment. Apple Customer Services are usually quite accomodating so be nice but firm.
