How to change the iTunes Systray Icon (working)

Hi there,

i have found a way how to change the iTunes Systray Icon !

The problem was the Protection of the itunes.exe that have not allowed to edit something.

Here a Step-By-Step Guide how to change the Systray Icon for the new iTunes 7.2 Version:

1. First you need to install the newest Multi-Plugin for iTunes.

(Its disable the Protection of the itunes.exe)

2. You download the programm eXeScope and open the itunes.exe with it

(Make better a backup from the original itunes.exe !)

3. Go to Resource -> Icon -> 153

4. Replace the Icon 10: 16*16, 256 Color with your own

(File -> Import)

5. Save the itunes.exe

(Edit -> Save Update)

6. Be lucky

Maybe you should exit itunes before you do this tutorial

Have you the Version 7.2?

yes i am using itunes 7.2, and of course i know to exit before changing it don't know whats wrong

maybe RegEdit? I've managed to change a couple of iTunes docs with it. For everyone who wants try that, go

Run>RegEdit>HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and go to the iTunes section...maybe around there. or you could just use Objectbar
