I got my new iBook 12" 900MHZ yesterday, which is great. :woot: Shall put my screenie up soon. Still getting used to it, but it's such a great toy I'm mainly playing with it at the moment.
I want to connect it my Windows XP Pro box with the Internet Connection Sharing thing. Unfortunately, I've got no idea how to do it. I've got my Network Card installed in my PC, and have connected the Ethernet cable from the PC to my iBook. I was expecting some sort of notification on the Mac to tell me that I'd just plugged into a network, but it didn't. The XP does notify me when I plug and unplug the cable from the iBook though, so I know that it's connecting OK and my network card is kosher.
I'm not sure I've even set the network up correctly - it's not even asked me to set a username or password for anyone connecting to the network. Can anyone with experience give me a helping hand?
Cheers in advance.
Btw - anyone know what the exact screwdriver type needed to remove the iBook RAM shield? I've never seen a screw so flat before - all of my Philips screwdrivers are too flat. Am stuck with 128MB with 512 sitting waiting on the table for the moment.
