Recovering a previous version of a file

Hey,

I have been playing GTA San Andreas for ages now. I am 91.54% finished, I onyl had 1 story mission and like 6 extra little ones to do.

I startyed a new game to watch the opening cut scene, and i accidentally saved over my good save file.

I have done a system restore (on default settings) to 2 days ago and I dont have my good save file back.

Does anybody have any ideas?

*sob* Why can't time machine be for windows?

It's not a previous version of a file , it's the same file overwritten . Correct me if i am wrong but there is no way back for this one . Just enjoy playing the game all over again

yea it sucks i know, i reformatted my computer, having fun playing carbon for the 3rd time now...who would have known the folder "carbon" in my documents isnt the save files..
