---make Windows Look Like A Mac---

This guide is on how to make your Windows XP Home Edition or non64bit Professional look exacly like Mac OS X

WARNING:: NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO DONT KNOW ALOT ON WORKING PROGRAMS

First, you want to download the following.

>Flyakite OS X (http://osx.portraitofakite.com/) install last

>WindowBlinds 4.7 , or if you BOUGHT 5.01/5.1(www.oldapps.com) install first

>ObjectBar (stardock.com) install second

>iTunes 7.02 (apple.com) install fourth

>Trillian PRO 3.1 (download via LimeWire or such) install third

>QuickTime 7 (included with iTunes)

>NeXPlorer

>Savannah

Savannah is used to skin IE 5/6 to look like safari

NextPlorer is a Finder Clone for windows that works as a Finder that you would normally see on a mac

---FLYAKITE INSTALLATION--

SYSTEMFILES (ALL)

EXTRAS>Boot Screen (Mac OS X Boot Screen that replaces the Windows XP one)

EXTRAS>Cursors (installs the Cursor set for Windows, it accually is the exact same thing as the Mac Cursors.)

EXTRAS>Logon Screen (Replaces Blue Style Logon Screen with an exact clone of the Mac LogonScreen)

EXTRAS> Icemans sound scheme (Jaguar sound scheme that overrides the windows one, and its the only one so tough luck that theres none for tiger, but its better than nothing!)

SKINS>Tiger Visual Style (windowblinds and MSStyle tiger themes)

SKINS>Trillian PRO 3.1 Skins

SOFTWARE>DOCKS>ObjectDock

Thats pretty much all youll need. if you see something you want, add it! doesnt matter to me, its just the basics imputting here.

---Now for ObjectDock.

The Defualt Skin should be used and about 60-70% transparency to look right

Download the icons called PANTHER AQUA from interfacelift.com

Then click and drag icons from anywhere, edit the title if you want, change the icon, and presto! Do that for a couple programs and add some docklets and youll be on your way.

---For ObjectBar

You need to find the Panther Finder Bar for ObjectBar from divientart and do some editing to the theme to look right.

Then, make sure all the shortcuts work, and edit some menus and such to look like Mac's.

---Trillian

When the trillian skins are added, you should be able to just go to prefrences and set the skin and restart trillian, otherwise, go to your trillian folder and make sure the skin folder is by itself, not in another folder.

---When you open WindowBlinds, the skin from Flyakite should be there. Kol's style is recommended so download it from studiotwentyeight.com

just activate it. THe Taskbars wont look like the ones from MAC OS X if yours is the unregisterd version

---

you now need a wallpaper. high resolution is recommended, just google Mac OS X Tiger Wallpaper and bingo! just make sure its high resolution.

If while you need to access the start menu but it's dissappeared due to ObjectBar or ObjectDock, just press the WinKey.

and there you go!!!

you now have a cool mac looking PC that can fool a hard core mac user.

Please note that this is all basics. Advanced Version of this guide is coming soon for People who want things like Registry Tweaks, more skins, and more thorough custimization that only advanced users can handle (or use) to make Windows look even MORE like a mac.

You shouldn't post tutorials that are stickies and give no new information on mac emulation. Don't talk about cracks and such here. This isn't a warez site. And most definitely do not compare highly respected stylists:

Quote;

When you open WindowBlinds, the skin from Flyakite should be there. if its from Steve Griener, its the wrong one, and you need the one from KoL, so download it from studiotwentyeight.com

just activate it. THe Taskbars wont look like the ones from MAC OS X if yours is the unregisterd version, so maybe a crack is in order, but i take no responsibility if its a virus.

Don't post messages 4 times in a row. Stickies are posts that are deemed very important and are always at the top of threads for ease of availability. Mac emulation is the process of making windows look like a mac and you shouldn't post another thread on it because it's already a sticky: "How to make windows look like a mac." I'm guessing you haven't read the rules. Go ahead read 'em.

//Thread Closed, Posts Removed

I encourage your efforts to make helpful tutorials, but there are several things you have to observe:

1) Follow the rules. First and foremost, this means not posting six times in a row.

2) Tutorials should be well-written and well-thought-out. As someone else pointed out, they shouldn't mention warez or cracks (also against forum rules). I applaud your effort, but this simply has to be more organized and more complete to be posted.

Once you have something more complete, I think you should try again ;). Make sure you read the Board Rules first.
