i was looking around on the internet on how to make ubuntu edgy look like OS X, and i found this app: http://kryogenix.org/code/jackfield/
it runs OS X widgets and will eventually run opera widgets, yahoo widget and microsoft gadets from vista.
it's not stable yet, but when it is it'll be awsome!!

nice find. been thinking about switching back, but I cannot utilize the beryl and xgl, so kinda pointless right now.
i had the same problem, but i found a really easy to follow guide for ubuntu edgy. it might be useful if u have edgy. hear is the website: ubuntuguide.org

ps: the guide utilizes the beta drivers, so it might not work on your computer

you are installing from source, so it can be tricky

I know...it didn't come out...did exactly that...
chances are it is because of dependencies, linux can be a b*tch about installations
