I have just made new forums.. this time i actually have it on my site, not hosted somewhere else.. if anyone has any suggestions to what I could improve and how I could get more users please tell me. I am very happy with these forums personally.

just a few tips

1) the red kills everything - please change the colour

2) when you hover the mouse over the title bar, the words become invisble - not good

3) your banner is completely empty, i thing you should add someting to it

4) you made it look like aqua-soft - how cute!!

I agree with all except number 4. What the hell are you on about travelfox? It looks nothing like aqua-soft?? How cute of you to think that.

Agreeably however, the title red title bar, is rather ugly. What IS unique about aqua-soft is that it looks like not-just-another-forum. Perhaps this is the form of forum you would like? Or perhaps you are focusing on the content.

I suggest you come up with a unique design, spend some time creating a title bar that grabs the user, yet also works with the rest of your forum, perhaps something a shade of dark blue? The rest is cool. That text really does have to be changed

In response to getting more users, word of mouth is about the best bet you have, unless you wish to advertise and pay dollaroonies... probably not...

Tell people about your forum, tell your friends, is about the only advice I have. Most things in life are not free, but word of mouth can get you a hell of alot of visitors, especially if you have an AWESOME TITLE BAR!!!...

thanks! uhmm, I am working on a new banner, and I just figured out how to fix an issue I had with the banner, so that is high on my to-do list.

I will also change the titlebar, since i have heard from many people that it doesnt look good..

Travelfox.. what do you mean the red kills everything? do you mean the red in the banner or just the titlebar?

I want to ask something aswell.. do you know where I have to go to change the page width in phpbb2 ?

no, it isnt, because the image is 10px wide.. it is a background, and it automatically fills up all the space
