WindowFX 2.0 will do that.
it's called genie and as far as i know nobody's done it yet. windowfx 2 doesnt really have anything similiar to the genie effect.
Im sorry, but someone did do a "Genie" effect script for WindowFX2.0.
I don't have access to it myself, but I'm sure if we ask nicely someone will post it.

I"m pretty sure if we are talking about the same "genie" effect...that one is wave-like instead. (the one that is already made) If we aren't...you know something Grustic that the rest of us are trying to find 
Those effects in WinFX2 are disabled in the shareware version, does anyone know a free program?
I'm pretty sure the only "genie like effect" for windowsfx is the wavy thing. It doesnt actually look anything close to what the real genie effect is the mac, but if you have seen the real genie effect for windowsfx please let us know! That would be absolutely superb! 
I'd suggest doing a forum search here. Someone mentioned having access.
Also, from what I can tell. WFX2.0 has scripting, so recreating a "Genie" effect probably wont be difficult.
as far as i know, you guys dont need to search for this script. its bull.
i got it and it just another wave thing - which is cool by the way.
there is nothing like that geine effect existing for the public unfortunatly- unless you can prove me wrong then ill be glad (and even say i like vegeta, just for you guys). 
the only thing that can have it, is the leaked OD in its early stages, and the real OSX (and probably a special private version for jeff himself )

If someone has access to WindowFX 2.0 Enhanced, the full version, and OS X, I'm sure it would not be hard to recreate via a WFX script.
I have access to WFX2.0 Enhanced but not to OS X, else I would do it myself.
Almost, I must say this, it is just an effect. In terms of adding functionality, I don't think it will do that.

If this is the case, then someone should definitly do that. But why would someone need access to a mac? Everyone knows what it looks like. All they would need to do is write the correct effect. And people it doesnt have to be perfect. It just has to resemble that sucking effect into the dock, not a wave. If anyone wants to see it in action just go to the apple website and click on os x, then movies, then dock. It actually a pretty simple transformation. I hope somone does it. If I had windowsfx enchanced then I would, but theres no way to create transformations in the trial version. I strongly encourage anyone who has access to windowsfx enchanced, to please create something, anything at all. Anything will be a start. If there are a few flaws so what, they can be fixed. Just try, give it your best shot. Hey, I'm willing to try and I dont know the first thing about programming!
One thing I have noticed about the genie effect that when it creates a new thumbnail icon in the dock it fills it one line at a time it's kinda integrated. It also adjusts if you have the dock on either side.
If windowfx could do the genie effect I don't think it could do that unless you can make it interoperate with the dock. Maybe objectdock? But we really aren't half there cause no free dock shows a new thumbnail icon yet.
We could start by putting in the feature that when you minimize the window it creates a thumbnail one line at a time between the trash and seperator.
Objectdock turns the task icon into a thumbnail but that's not the same.
I would program something myself but I don't know the first thing about programming either. I'm an artist and the best I can do with programming is making simple if then kinda things.
Smoke, what do you mean create thumbnails one line at a time? What line? ObjectDock has already well accomplished this, if I am reading what you are saying correctly. How is what ObjectDock does not the same thing basically? Please explain.
All we need is an effect when a window minimizes, to get sucked into somewhere around the bottom of the screen, and when the window is maximized it will get sucked from the bottom of the screen. Anywhere near the bottom will do, because most people keep their docks at the bottom. Getting sucked in from a side dock is a whole 'nother ball game. Lets take this one step at a time. If we can get our windows to somehow morph the way they do in os x while the dock is a the bottom, we are in good shape.
that's what I mean, it morphs to the thumbnail one line at a time. As the effect is running a little bit of the thumbnail appears as it is being pulled into the dock. I guess you'd have to really look to see what I mean.
BTW.. I know about objectdocks snapshot function.. but I mentioned that I don't think the task icon should turn into a thumbnail rather, a new icon should be made that is a thumbnail.
Without the genie transition effect attached to it it would appear as if the thumbnail appears in the minimizing area one line at a time (not slow though). Sorta like..filling a glass with water, the genie effect sort of fills an invisible glass in the area with the thumbnail.
So then the "genie effect" would get sucked to the thumbnail area not just somewhere around the vicinity of the bottom of the screen. It is very specific on where it goes. It just doesn't go somewhere around the bottom.
But even so I have my doubts that any of this will be implemented in any free dock anytime soon. I hope I'm wrong though and someone suprises us with it.
yeah smoke I know what you're talking about-
that is really amazingly cool but I don't see that full extent of that effect being converted to objectdock/windowfx2. its just waaaay to 1337 for the likes of us.
