whats the setting in itunes 7 that allows you to delete movie files off the computer and let them stay on the ipod [i like to live on the edge :cool: ]
but seriously its taking up useless space on my computer, and i've backed it up elsewhere, i just want to be able to delete it and make sure itunes doesnt delete it off the ipod at the same time.
also i'd like to let the audio files update automatically, so i don't think i should check "manually manage music/videos"
Just find the setting to allow disk use, that will make the ipod like a jump drive, then under preferences or whatever select automatically update songs... I believe you right click on the ipod and go to ipod options
but will i still be able to play the videos on the ipod?
the movies you put on the ipod are just files that you wont be able to watch. I guess if you want to put the movies on and still watch them, update them onto the ipod then never update the ipod after that, or there must be a setting to not update the videos
