Is there a way to make the icons for the pidl shortcuts change when i change my pack in iconpackager? I have the avedesk set to system icon, but it always shows the windows system icons, even when everywhere else it changes to whatever pack i'm using.
Also, once in a while, my desklet icons will be split and reversed, like if the normal icon was like this

not sure specifically how iconpackager applies the pack but, most do a combination of registry entries and/or desktop.ini files.
First, are you talking about standard system icons..my computer, my doc's, etc?
- Ideally most of these should be changed within the registry when the pack is applied then all you need to do is refresh the pidl shortcut.
Otherwise you may need to write a script to refresh when a new pack is applied.
The second sounds like a gdi issue. Can't help ya there.
well, i beleive my computer and recycle bin icon's will change when i switch packs, but the ones for cd-rom, my documents, files (mp3's, jpg's, etc) and mounted drives, will use the default windows xp system icons (which at 85 pixels, is not very attractive)
