Drop Shadow For Od Background?

Hi all,

Has anyone made a *.png for an OD background that includes a convincing drop shadow?

The reason I ask is that if one takes a look at some original OS X dock screen shots, there is a slight shadow cast by the dock against the desk top.

I'm sure it would be possible to emulate this with a *.png, although I have not tried to do it yet myself.

I recall grabbing an OD background called "Digital" that has a *very* slight shadow, but it is not enough for my purposes.

Anyone else care to have a try at it?

I can't make heads or tails of the bg.in, or I would try it myself.

Any tips in that area?

Peace,

Grusic

could definitly do something like that... remember to use the TopHeight/BottomHeight/LeftWidth/RightWidth tags in the ini to make it stretch properly (well, that is so the edges don't get squashed!)

Jeff,

If I understood exactly how *.pngs and bg.ini worked together, I would have attempted this already.

Perhaps you would give me a quick tutorial?

Thanks,

I've already added a small shadow to my dock, it's the one roberTO posted. I just opened it in photoshop, masked off the dock itself and painted a small shadow around it. It's subtle but enough to convey some depth to it. No mods to the .ini needed
