Killing the taskbar

Yes, another one of my posts about how to get rid of the taskbar in Windows.

Here's what I want.

Some type of little system tray app that looks like the system tray only not attached to the taskbar.

Another thing I'd like is to make some type of way to minimize a window and it just jumps to a corner of the screen and stacks upon itself. A dock is a great way to do this but I'm sick of changing through RocketDock, OD, and RKlauncher. I'm sticking with RocketDock for it's great support. Unfortunately it doesn't have a taskbar. :s

I've never come across a standalone system tray app before despite several searches for one. The two viable soloutions I ever found was to make a DesktopX widget and set it to function as a System Tray. It's as easy as clicking a few buttons and it's skinnable. The drawback ofcourse is that DesktopX is payware. The second way is to use Litestep. Free but comes with a learning curve.

As for the minimize function, I think there is an App here at Aqua-Soft that minimizes Windows as objects on the desktop. I'm not sure if that's what you mean though. Do a search and you'll find it. I think it's called Nubs or something like that ...

die taskbar die! mwahaahahaa ahahahahaha *stab* *stab* *stab*....i recall a docklet that deals with tray icons that you could probably used with rocketdock (thats if it supports dodklets) you can find them on wincustomise.com or .org or something....one of them

ObjectDock has an option to show the sustem tray, but I'm not sure if that's only a 'Plus' feature

vkeios you've helped alot. I'm using miniMIZE now, and it works like a charm! Unfortunately the traymodule's website is down and I haven't been able to find a download link anywhere.
