The only alternative to WB is Visual Styles really. You could use other shells, but it would be a hassle. Anyway, if you mean another alternative to Trillian, then just try Miranda with a friend who has it completely set up, and ask him for help along the way.

also yea wtv off topic but is there a way to change icons like hard drive, disk, etc. without top themes xp? now that it expired all my icons went back to the normal ugly windows ones:P.
