Keep icons in place

is there any way to keep the icons put in windows xp? I have windows fx and I have it set so that only the desktop icons are 48. but now everytime i start the computer they show up small 32 and then grow to 48, but end up on the left side, all messed up....

Check out D-Color Xp. Lets you save your icon-layout, as well as specify the size of the icons.

Next time search a little before you start a thread, ok? I'm pretty sure you would've come across this little app.
