A Lack Of New Skins For Trillian .74

Don't want to sound mean and all, but how come all these new skins are made for trillian pro? Have you forgotten about all the users who are using .74? Again, I don't want this to sound nasty; your contributions are superb, and we all thank you for it, but it just plain annoys me. For example, I really want to try this new iChat skin by Daminator, but I can't. Also, I want to take titoudoc's new Panther skin for a spin, but again I cannot. I know little of how Trillian skins work, so I'm not really sure what skins developers can do, but please consider us no-Pro users when you start a new skin.

BTW, don't tell me to quit being an asshat and go download Pro. <_<

I agree - Trillian is so popular mainly since it has an incredible amount of features (and supports multiple chat clients at once!) and, best of all, is free. It's great that some people have the money to pay more for it and support the software, but I'd say the vast majority of people with Trillian have the free version - there isn't a pressing need to "upgrade" to Pro (except for the fact that yes, somewhat annoyingly, many of the better skins seem to be done for it). <_<

Further, contrary to what some people have said in other threads, 0.74 isn't an older version of Trillian, it's the free version that many people use because it is, let me reiterate, free and awesome.

So yes, skinners and developers, please take a look at Trillian 0.74 when developing skins. Thank you for the consideration.

Ask a skinner myself, i create skins for my own personal use but just want to share it with the rest of the community. I am not a profesional skinner so i don

t skin stuff with i have no use for unless someone is paying me to do it. I reckon that danimator also thinks the same way. danimator uses trillian pro thus creates a wonderful skin for trillian pro and wants to share it with other users alike. same like me, i create icq skins eventhough i know very little ppl still use it nowadays.

u can mayb just wait for some ppl who uses trillian 0.74 to create or mayb seek permission to port a skin to the program.
