Requirements

- Windows XP

- Visual basic run-time SP6

- wmpuice.dll (included in the zip file along with the Readme.txt to instruct how to install the file)

CAD RC 5 Build 48 (08Oct06)

- CAD uses wmpuice.dll (*) now instead Song Signature plugin

- Due the new approach now you can: set song rating (using fancy rating, context menu or hotkeys); display current time and progress bar; use WML interaction with all CAD features; access to all used tags (including year, track number and genre)

(*) Installation: close CAD and WMP and copy the file into "...WindowsSystem32" folder and go to "Start>Run" and type: regsvr32 wmpuice.dll

Good choice switching to WMPuIce.dll...I use it with Marquee and it's a lot better than the previous dll. Allows a lot more flexibilty and expanded features of WMP.

I have been using your CAD with winamp for a couple of weeks now and I like it very much.

The only porblem is that it seems to have diffilcuties readig metafiles from lossless formats (.flac and .ape) Especialy the album information is not shown correctly (mostly as 'unknown' -> winamp is showing it correctly)

Otherwise it's a great program. Will keep using it!!

CAD can't read those files tag.

But you have an alternative to get the album directly from Winamp:

FLAC and other file types

CD Art Display can read tags from mp3 and ogg files.

If you use other files types you can set Winamp advanced title so CD Art Display can use it to display artist, title and album information directly from Winamp.

Just go to "Winamp Preferences>Titles" and write the following Advanced Title Formatting:

[%artist% - ]$if2(%title%,$filepart(%filename%)) - [%album%]

Note that you will only add " - [%album%]" to the default Winamp title.

Hint: I made some CAD tweaks so you can use it as a notifier:

1) set its window "Always on Top" (mouse right click)

2) "CP>Options" and check "Show notifier for" and "Hide case too"

That should do the trick!
