None of you have mentioned a phenomenal game that I fell in love with at the young age of 7...I'm of course talking about A Boy and his Blob! I loved that game- feed a blob jellybeans and he turns into useful items such as a ladder, depending on the flavor of jellybean.

Other favorites of mine include:

Track and Field: The ways you can manipulate this game are awesome. My favorite is the "Jump off the control pad during the long jump and go 5,000 meters" trick.

Super Matio Bros. 2: By far the best and most original of the SMB series, IMO

Mike Tyson's Punchout: Because I love pink jogging suits

Contra: I suck at this one, but it rules

Kung Fu: A game in which our hero has the oh-so-Asian name of Thomas.

Paperboy: Just a simple fun favorite.

Final Fantasy 3: Before FF7 and FFX, there was this, and it ruled.
