Corrupt Gradient File in Photoshop CS

Ok, so I open Photoshop, and moments later, I get a message saying "The gradient file is bad or corrupted:o" It goes on to load the program with no buttons or menu options. I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it, but the problem still exists. Can anyone please help me?

Please?

PS: Oh, and I didn't uninstall the "shared files". Should I?

//EDIT: Oh dear, it doesn't ask if I want to remove the shared files anymore :(

So, you're saying that you want you menu bar back? If that's so you can go to "Windows" and "Load Workspace" (or something like it) and click "Default".

Never mind, I figured it out how to fix it.

@mh_h: No, the program froze on startup due to a "corrupt gradient file"

Hey, everyone!

I have the same problem with Photoshop, after I worked on a project (which I used gradients too) and closed Photoshop, but before PS was closed completely, my computer crashed. And now everytime I start PS it gives me this error.

Can you please tell me how you fixed it? Thanks in advance! :)

If I remember correctly, I copied another user's "C:Documents and SettingsOTHER USERApplication DataAdobePhotoshop" folder to mine.

The path might not be right, but hopefully you know what I mean.

I was also getting this same message and here is my solution that worked.

Delete the "Gradients.psp" file from the following directory with Photoshop closed: C:Documents and SettingsYOUR_USERNAMEApplication DataAdobePhotoshop9.0Adobe Photoshop CS2 Settings

Theres a Gradient.psp file in there and that is whats causing the error, just deleting that will remove *ALL* of your custom gradients but will not remove anything else and will stop the error from popping up.
