Disabling iTunes Autolaunch?

hey all, I'm new to the site as well as new to apple. I'm a DJ and use my mac book to store, download and play my mp3's through an application calle serato scratch live, wich is a computer/ turntable interface. The problem I have is I'm constantly downloading mp3 (around 100 trax a week) and it's really anoying having Itunes auto launch every time a files is completed. I was told to use tinker tools, but can't find anything about itunes in there. Is there a way to shut off the auto launch?

itunes shouldn't automatically load unless the client you're using is set to automatically add the file upon completion.. check your settings.

edit: i just went to the serato website, and i don't see how this program downloads mp3s

Are you using safari?

Make sure it's not set (in safari preferences) to auto launch files after you download them.

Also, try disabling the "Use iTunes for Internet playback" option in your iTunes preferences.
