Updated skins please :)

I hate to be a whiner, but skinners, please, if in any way possible:

how about updating and releasing iTunes 7 versions of your skins??

I noticed you can quick-fix many version 6 skins simply by replacing lower left and right corner images with the ones from the included skins, works good for some skins. But you'll have to settle for the default scroll bars. The "Samui 2 Graphite2" skin + vs combo works for great for me now, it has very similar looking scrollbars.

req2: Anyone know who's the creator of vs "iBar 6"?

I sure wish he (or she, but what are the odds) would release "iBar 7"!

Maybe I'll want to learn skinning sometime in the future..

pps: Doesn't it seem that msstyle skinning is quite dead? Neowin forums are super-quiet, so is customize.org etc... is everone running Vista Beta now or what?

As someone who has been involved in software development for about 20 years, it never fails to astonish me how many people on these forums take things for granted (and this applies across almost all of the threads and topics featured on this excellent resource).

Please remember that these skins and apps are often done by the most astonishingly gifted people, often in the middle of the night who do it for the love of it. Most of the time there is no return other than just a lot of moaning and groaning to developers and the demand from users to get problems fixed - NOW.

How about a bit of patience people?

dirk for a first post you havent really set out a good image for yourself have you?....im guessing ibar7 will be released shortly as ibar 6 was released after ibar 5/4 (dunno which one) just be patient as Raats said. Now before you request another skin try fabricating it yourself....skin making/designing doesnt come naturally to everyone...and if your making one from scratch it can take days to fine tune it and get it perfect.

This complete GUI was by me and i'm the only person with permission to do anything with my friends themes, especially this one. Besides, this skin is currently being updated from my my iTunes 6.5 to 7.0 and will be released soon. My friend will not grant anyone permission to update anything, except me. To get permission to release this u would need to ask me but its already almost finished anyway.

I was deliberately trying not to _demand_ anything, but apparently didn't succeed. Skinners, please don't believe I don't think it's hard work. I appreciate your efforts (from which you don't even receive any compensation) immensely, and that's just the reason I'm a bit impatient to get the updated versions in my hands.

Of course version 7 is so different from 6 there are many new things to skin. Please accept my apology, you're all doing good work.

I will be doing the itunes 7 update for Mrrste when I get time, I am not looking forward to doing the bottem buttons. I had done them for Somatic (not released yet) and it was not fun.

we're a community here,all skinners themers n emulation ppl are a well knit group,and we're not fools to ask permission from ppl b4 taking their resources,sure everyone changes stuff here n there to suit their needs,but keeps them to their own use,they dont openly release,its not a question of whether u can or cannot,

its a matter of giving respect to someone who worked hard to release a particular theme/skin....for YOU TO USE IT !!!

I fooled around with Longhorn Alternative Dark a bit and it looks alrite - for my use anyway.

I removed the orange color from the top pane since the spectrum analyzer color still can't be changed. Anyone know which bitmaps control the color of the playlist pane and the song select outline?
