Hello all...
My CD drive looks for a CD at completley random times. I'm not too worried, but is sometimes gets on my nerves. And there is a risk of damaging the drive. However, ejecting then loading sorta resets it, but it still does it afterward.

Maybe try sticking in the CD it asks for. Usually for a game, when you close it and take out the game, Windows may try asking for the CD, so stick it back it, let everything load, and then close the program and take out the CD.

Hmm if it asks for game cd.. you will have to put it in the rom..but check if it asks for windows cd.. i guess there is some errors in your windows.
I think this is a software problem rather then hardware!
It doesn't ask for any CD. It just checks it.

Well if you are sure it's not a software problem then I don't have a clue what could be wrong. I hope someone else can help you.
