Need to create a new partition

Well, I want to create a new partition on my system, in FAT32 (Primary), on my C: drive. I need to make it about 40, to 45 GB, but the only problem is, all the partitioning software I've seen requires me to reformat the drive, and I can't afford to do that on my C: drive, as it has the OS on it. I tried Acronis Disk Director Suite 10, but that utterly ****ed up my computer. Does anyone know any other partitioning software that can create a new partition on the hard drive, without having to format it?

I use the old PartitionMagic v8.0, never had any problems with it. Recently I needed to install Ubuntu so I just resized my main windows partition and created a new one for Ubunut. Everything is working perfectly.

i prefer acronis over pq magic. i have never had a problem with it at all. i have used paragon's partition app with success also. i have created a lot of new partitions on existing drives and only had to format the new partition, i would do it anyway. in fact i just redid a partition on my wife's primary drive adding space to the OS partition using acronis disk director 10. i made her D:ntfs from fat32 (new partition) and added 10gb to her C:fat32, all i had to do was reformat D:

i use acronis too, i used it to resize my windows partition, to create a 2nd one for my files, to make a partition for vista and make a fat32 one for win98 [which didnt work after all that...:#]
