Getting started.

Hi all,

First time visitor to aquasoft.

This is it:

I'm almost fully happy with my desktop now, but I spotted a guy who could make this:

Notice the text on the right hand side. Now I've noticed he used avedesk to make these shortcuts with an .png file.

So I installed this program and hoped to get it done. Now since I've installed avedesk I can't find any option to make such a new desklet.

Here by, could anyone link or direct me to an easy newbie avedesk guide to make such shortcuts on my desktop.

Which version of Avedesk are you using?

I'm on the 1.3 Version.

I don't remember a complete step by step user-guide for avedesk, so I'll give it a shot on my own:

1. In the Avedesk console go to: Desklet>Add>Pidlshortcut>My computer (start off with

"My Computer" , this is the easiest. You can always change it later)

2. U'll see a pidlshortcut appear on ur desktop

3. Right-click the shortcut and go to "Desklet properties", and modify all the settings you want

modified, like where you want the shortcut to point to, and the icon u want to use, and the

size of the icon.

That should cover it I guess.

The text icon is easy to make, just use Photoshop

I guess its just a pidishortcut..and text matched with size on right side.
