No Tasks In Taskbar?

Is there a way to get the win taskbar to show, but without the tasks running? i have them in my objectdock taskbar, and don't want them to double

Thanks

just out of curiosity, if you have object bar running, why in the world would you want the taskbar there. The taskbar is there to show running tasks so if you take away that functionality, what is left, the start button, and couldnt you just incorporate that and the system tray into object bar? Just curious

a quick fix would be to go into the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" click on Customize and set everything in there to "always hide" - this'll still keep the little arrow but you won't see any of the tasks..

(also you can disable the clock showing in the taskbar from in the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" menu)

but i tend to lean towards "fellow2000".. he make's a good point - that's what i'm doing on my system.. but hey "To each his own" :D

peace.. hope that helps

Well if you really don't want it you could right-click in it and select 'Remove Section' to remove the tasks entirely so that you would just be left with the clock....

to fella: thanks, but I happen not to own objectbar, so I want to settle with what's there... besides, i happen to like the look of my theme's taskbar. Oh, and of course objectdock does not show the systray icons :-)

to sid: where would the remove section command be?

Thank you all
